This was definately a cool place today, (Not in the Hot or Cold Tempature sense) but just in the sence of visiting a neat place, with a lot of history. We spent most of today at Corregidor, in the Philippines. It was a nice tour. We took a boat rid across the bay, to get to Corregidor, then from there we got off the boat, and got onto a trolly car kind of thing, to take a tour of the island. I have a few picutres uploaded here, for your enjoyment. And yes its warm here. (I have to say that just for Sue, 80F right now and its 9pm.. ) Enjoy the pics, and I hope to post more later.

This first pic is one we took in Minneapolis, while we were waiting for our flight. I thought it would be a stark contract just between the pictures, for bigger effect. The middle picture, is that Golandia? Third picture is of a destroyed barracks.
I just wanted to put a little post out here to let you know that the casserole was quite yummy. It was so good, my sister was very glad that we cooked it in her casserole dish so we had to leave it there. So if you need or want to make a quite yummy hashbrown casserole, I’d recommend checking this one out.

I think we are going to try and make this for Thanksgiving. Hopefully it will taste pretty good.

I’m mainly posting this up here so I can find this recipie later, and so I can refer to it in a few days and explain how it tasted good or bad.
Thanksgiving may not feel like its here yet, but it is. Well atleast for us. Every year before the 4th Thursday of November (traditionally Thanksgiving day). Our local group of friends usually gets together and celebrates thanksgiving. We have pretty much what you would expect to have in a normal thanksgiving. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, etc, this year was no different. Instead of doing our turkey this year in an oven, like we have for year, one of our friends mentioned that her dad had a deep fryer for turkeys if we wanted to try it. So after very little persuading, we decided to give it a try.
Here are a few pictures of the setup. Big fryer, propane tank, a place for Don to hide and stay in the sun but out of the wind.
After cooking a 20lb turkey for 60minutes we took it out of the fryer, and this was the result.
Not too bad if I do say so myself, since this was our first attempt at frying a turkey. While I sat out in the cold waiting to make sure the turkey didn’t blowup or anything like that, Corrine was inside making soup and making the tables look pretty. Here are a few pictures of the house.
And it wouldn’t be a cold day at our place with out a fire.
After everyone arrived ate a good meal we went down by the fire to play games, and just have a good time. Here some pictures of 22 people in our basement around fireplace.

We had a fun Sunday, after church and lunch, we just relaxed and hung around the house, and then John brought over My Fair Lady. I don’t think we have seen the whole thing before, but its one of those movies that everyone needs to see, so we did. It was a good show. It was quite loverly.
