So after we went to church on Sunday, we, well actually Uncle Kenneth decided that we all (the clan of like 30 of us) needed to head on over to this Riscky’s BBQ place in the Stockyard of Fort Worth, since we were already in Arlington, we decided we were half way there, from Dallas, so might as well keep going. Well anyway we found the place and it was great.
They have an All you can eat BBQ Beef Ribs, only $9.95, definitely an awesome deal. So about 25 or so of us ordered the ribs, and we filled 4 buckets with bones. It was a great time. We had lots of fun. Just hanging out eating, and just enjoying life. The ribs needed a little more flavor, for me, but still very good.. I’d recommend checking this place out if you happen to be in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Area.
So for Breakfast on Sunday, Corrine found this place that was supposedly famous for its breakfast and just a good place to eat. I think she read about this place in either the Eat Dallas magazine she ordered before we left, or from the AAA Texas book, but either way, we decided to try this place out. It was like 10-15 minutes north of where we were staying, so we piled in the car, and headed north to try it out.
The reviews were correct. This place was good. They have a pastry area, where they had free samples, which are always good. So we waited like 5 minutes and then we got a seat. We sat down and the menu was nice. Lots of choices. I decided to get the Tex-mex omlete. It was a good omlete, 3 eggs, chili, onions, jalapenos, Colby Jack and Cheddar Cheese, Sour Cream. It was a lot of food, but definitely good. Then I could get either hash browns, or home fries, and I think there was another choice, but I went with the home fries and toast. Very good, the wait wasn’t that long, and the food was good.
Corrine got the Chorizo and Eggs, it was Mexican Sausage mixed with 2 Scrambled Eggs, served with Hash Browns, Salsa and 3 Tortillas. The tortillas where a bit greasy (not sure why) but other wise it was pretty good also. I’d recommend checking this place out.
The one we went to was on N. Central Expwy in Dallas, definitely a place to try if looking for a place to eat breakfast in Dallas.
So we just got back from a weekend trip to Dallas. It was a lot of fun. It was the wedding of one of Corrine’s cousins, so there were a lot of family there. Some of which I had never med before, so it was definitely a fun time to go to the wedding and kinda have a mini reunion of Corrine’s family.
So we had mom over yesterday for Mother’s day. Since we just got a portion of that cow from the Sintz’s we decided that we should cook some steak for Mother’s day. I had a package of 3 T-Bones so I fired up the grill and we feasted. Corrine also made some a salad of veggies and some asparagus soup, it was quite delicious.
So we all got on planes in 3 different airports and should have arrived in the Orlando airport within one hour of each other, but that wasn’t the case. Actually Shao, May & Glenn were all supposed to meet up in North Carolina and take the same flight from NC to FL. but no such luck. Shao’s flight out of Cleveland was delayed by and 30 minutes or an hour, and so they tried to put here on an earlier flight, but she couldn’t get to the airport intime to get that earlier flight, so they moved her to a different airline, so she would fly in to DC’s airport instead of North Carolina, so that she would still get to Florida around the same time as she was originally planning to get to Florida. So she gets on the flight from Cleveland to DC, and when she is heading towards the gate to get on the plane from DC to Florida, it is announced that he flight from DC to FL is now delayed as well.
So what are the odds, two different flights from two different airports even on two different airlines delayed on the same day and the same person was trying to get on both of them. I hear there is a saying in the Philippines about bad luck and a birthmark, I think Shao has that.
Anyway she eventually got to Florida and would could start our fun filled vacation together, all seven of us.
