So we just returned from Trek yesterday, and it was a great time. This is like the 11th year that I have been able to go to Trek, and it was great cause this year Corrine & Daniel got to come too, which made it a lot of fun. We stayed at the Wus Haus, which is a vacation home that friends of ours bought a few years ago. But it worked out quite well. We went to the island in the morning to spend the day there and then at night after dinner, I drove a boat back to the main land where we drove 2 miles to the house and spent the night. It was a good week and I think all the middle schoolers had a fun time while there as well.
Here are a few pictures from the week.
Here is Daniel, decked out in his Island Gear with Mommy,

Corrine & I went down to Tennessee to help set up for Trek last weekend, it was a short weekend, but it was fun. We drove down late Friday and arrived at the Clay’s house in TN around 1am. Woke up the next morning, after we slept on the porch (the doors were locked, except for 1 that I forgot about), had a nice breakfast cooked by Bill, and just fellowshiped for a few hrs, then headed off to get some work done, and begin the setup of Trek. After the kids began to arrive, I began to be the shuttle man, shuttling either gear or kids, from the mainland to the island.
Once everyone had gotten to the island, Corrine and I decided to go get some dinner, but before that we decided to go back to the Clay’s house, grab a shower, and then head to dinner. So we found this place at Sulfer Spring Marina, that was supposed to have some good seafood, so we checked them, out, they were OK, no extroadinary seafood, but some pretty good fish. Once we had a nice relaxing dinner, we headed back to the island for the campfire, and then headed back to the mainland so we could sleep and then head out the next morning, to head back to Oxford.
We eventually left TN around 11ish, for our return trek to Oxford, I had the wonderful opportunity to drive the Pleasant VIneyard Short bus from TN to Oxford, it was a nice drive, but I was definately glad when it was over.
Check out a few pictures here.
On Sunday we had a wonderful open house, I know it was Mother’s Day, but my mom was there. Any way, check out the photo gallery for some pictures, but we had a great time of fun and fellowship. I hope to do this again sometime when its a little warmer and maybe we can use the pool…
Our church was challenged on Sunday, to put scripture in our heart, so here are the verses for the week, if anyone is interested in memorizing scripture with us. According to our pastor, if we memorize them, he’ll give us all a prize.
2 Corinthians 5:17 & Galatians 2:20
Let me know if you memorize them with us. Maybe I’ll share my prize.
